Why the forget would you want to be locked up in a hell hole prison that does nothing but brainwash you and force you to learn mostly useless stuff that is of no use in the real world when you can easily choose your own curriculum rather then be stuck in a prison with a bunch of dumbass hormonal teenagers, DEATH BEFORE PUBLIC SCHOOL BITCH!
You go through with it because you come out educated, and if you're even slightly intelligent yourself, you come out civilised.
Not to mention, you come out of it capable of getting a job, earning money and leading a life.

The longer you set your entire life against learning, the harder it will be for you to actual learn and achieve in life.
I hope for your sake that you lose that attitude before you start learning for actual qualificational exams.

Ha ha.

I go to a private school.

Ha ha.

I go to a private school.

The nearest private school here is a Christian-only school.

Because half of the classes are based on Jesus and stuff.

Public school is great for getting friends and if you behave well most of the teachers will like you since everyone else is a richard to the teachers.

then what would you choose for this make-your-own curriculum? prison yard math, and the science of video games?

lol jesus christ

I'm hating my public school now. They're good with learning, but they put on this bullstuff laptop program, which replaces text books. It costs you 300 dollars per year, and they don't replace the laptops every year either with new ones.

People were literally shouting and cussing at the public meeting about this feature, but they still confirmed we would be using laptops.
Yes, man I know that's just bullstuff, forget em!!

As if all private schools are for christians.

I'm not christian.

My school is getting Laptops next year too! It'll cost us $150 a year to lease the Laptop for 5 years, then you can pay another $400 to purchase it. This Laptop will be replacing our textbooks also, but I'd rather have a Laptop than a textbook though. Where do you live?

Homeshooling is traditional, it was around long before these stuffty public schools.

so your logic is

tradition = better?

lol maybe your lack of public school is why you are so dumb

There is one reasonably good Private school near me, which is also a boarding school for non-local students.
But, they like to insist that they are much better than any of the local public schools.

Yet at my current school, a secondary school, years 7-11 (Ages 12-16), they achieve equal or better grades than this private school.
And because this private school is also a Sixth Form College, so it has Years 7-11, and then 2 extra years of non-compulsary education, a.k.a Years 12-13 (ages 16-18), they boast that they beat all grades in the Colleges around the area.
But, again, the local college, which is part of a quarter-county-wide group of (2) colleges (Ages 16-18), which I shall be going to come September, actually achieves better grades than this Private school.

If by tradition, you mean when it used to be that girls would be taught at home by their mothers on how to be housewives, while boys went to work with their fathers in the fields, then yes it is a tradition.

And then when schools were created, only boys went to them and girls stayed at home to continue to be taught how to be a housewife.
And then girls schools opened up, and boys and girls both went to seperate schools.
And then the governments made schooling compulsary at schools and schoolhouses.
And then unilove schools started to be created.

back in 2000 my highschool did this. it was kind of a test to this system then. we got one of them early macbooks.
there were 50port hubs in every classroom and we all carried these things around. all projects and lectures used em. was pretty fun.
i played so much startcraft and warcraft2 in class.

I believe high school kills the individuality and uniqueness in most kids that attended these public schools. With all their little cliques, and groups, and most of them are just sheep and follow each other and have real sense of being a true individual. and honestly how does public school prepare for the real world unlike homeschooling in which the student actually has the chance to get out and be around different aged people, and see all sorts of different things, and yet they can graduate earlier then public schoolers as well as attend great colleges?

homeschooled kids are stuck-up brats that have no sense of the real world, thus leading them to believe they are intellectually superior to everyone else, particularly public school kids.

exhibit A, kolozenski.

unlike homeschooling in which the student actually has the chance to get out and be around different aged people, and see all sorts of different things

what? lol the forget kind of field trips do your parents take you on? homeschooled kids are like shutins that are kept FROM the world.
you make it sounds like kids in public school are kept in a cage once the schools-out  bell rings.
