Those are called "conformists" unless they are truly forced by their parents to attend some lame prison.
How is public school a lame prison?
As compared to what, an awesome prison?

Besides.
You go there to learn.
It is 6 hours of your day.
You spend all day with people you enjoy being around.
You practise being a social person and generally learn through this social mixing on how to become a decent member of society.

It's not a prison.
You leave at the end of the day.
You get three quarters of the day to do whatever the hell you want.

Public school only taught me how to tell time on an brown townog clock.

I find public school useless and uninformative, being homeschooled has taught me a whole lot more + gives me free time and more opprotunities to get stuff done.
Thank you Altered, someone with some sense. Good job.

Now don't say my school just sucks, but I'm sure it's across America as well. Yes we do go there to learn, but most is unnecessary work, that serves no real purpose unless just to test your brain power. Why go for 6 hours a day when being home schooled you make your own schedule. Do things on your time not some government ran school. How the hell are moronic teenagers and some ridiculous teenagers fun people to be around?? YEAH being a social person with other uneducated losers, is a society I really want to be a part of. Also it's a lame stuffty repetitive process that goes over and over day by day where being home schooled you do alternative things.

alternative things like what? watching cartoons between class? lol

you seem to be a raging kid who just hates authority, rather then someone who knows what hes talking about when it comes to education.

And then all the little credibility Kolozenski had left died.

It is 6 hours of your day.

Mine was 9.
And I hardly had any free time afterwards.

My school is getting Laptops next year too! It'll cost us $150 a year to lease the Laptop for 5 years, then you can pay another $400 to purchase it. This Laptop will be replacing our textbooks also, but I'd rather have a Laptop than a textbook though. Where do you live?

Indiana.

1) You go for 6 hours so that is guaranteed that you are recieving a bountiful amount of education.
If the public school system were to be abandoned, then all the people who you know are dumb at school, well, how on earth are they going to do 6 hours of education at home?
You couldn't trust them to try and learn. I couldn't trust myself to try and learn. I'd waste the day away.
But in no way does that mean that I or many people like me are dumb.

2) You seem to claim that all the people in public schools are simply moronic or ridiculous.
There is no way this is true, unless you are just a social outcast and are incapable of getting close to people and making friends. Half of my friends seem silly from a distance. You get close to them and they're doing what all children and teenagers and adults do. They're having a laugh and they're having fun.
It's what we do when we make social ties that help us to work out what to do in social scenarios.
We play around with each other and talk.
We make alliances with friends and rivalries with people we dislike.
But you can't be a rival to everyone. Human's are pack creatures. We don't do lone wolf.

3) How can these people be uneducated when they are going to school and taking in education.
Maybe you just see them having fun.
I used to think like that.
There are complete idiots in my classes who don't seem to try and learn at all.
Doesn't mean they aren't.

4) No school will teach you the exact same thing over and over again.
Yeah, there is revision, it's how you learn things permanently.
But if you were to actually pay attention to lessons, you'd find that the subject of your lessons changes each day.
You're simply a teenager getting bored of learning.
It doesn't take a genius to realise that you're being taught more than one thing.
And by the way, the reason that teaching at a school is in a repetetive style, as in, they go over things and similar ideas come up in different places, is because that is how you learn.
No one reads a book and remembers every single thing and can now quote that book and do it forever.
You relearn and relearn.

You're not a genius.
You're not a greatly intelligent person.
You don't know everything you need to know.
You don't know how the world works.

You are simply a teenager, likely a bit of an outcast, who can't seem to enjoy what he's doing.
So, you claim it's all stuff. When it's not.
If it was all stuff then the world would have fallen to pieces a hundred years ago.

If I were you, I'd wise up, take it like a man and stop complaining about how you want to be your own person, and that homeschooling will give you that.
You don't live on the stage of High School Musical.
You're not going to lose all sense of character by being at school.

Homeschooling is stuff.

I went to this public "club" where teenagers could gather, play video games, and crap. I met with one guy who was being homeschooled.

He didn't know what algebra was, and he was 16. Yet, he had the highest prestige on Black Ops.

All that matters in life.

His parents probably didn't care about teaching him, not that all homeschoolers are bad I'm sure there's some great parents who teach their kids well, but usually its better to be taught by a group of people who actually went to school and took specific classes to teach specific classes. Not saying all public schools far from it, my mom teaches at a different school that I go to (way less funded) and basically the kids who pay attention succeed those who don't are the next generation of ditch diggers and burger flippers. My public school can usually make kids who normally don't care to do work but at my moms school there's a lot more kids of low class parents and 1st gen-immigrants who really drag down the schools potential.
