Author Topic: Public Schools  (Read 4525 times)

i had this friend who went to public school for grades 1-4, then went to public school for grades 5-7

when he got back in the 8th grade, he was pretty strange
So we went to public school 1-7 grades? Wut?

From first grade to third grade, I went to a private school.  It sucked.  Then I was home-schooled until seventh grade.  It was okay.  Now I go to a public school.  IT'S loving AWESOME!!!

Honestly, i'm neither. I was in public school for 5 years (preschool (2 years) to 2nd grade) and from what i remember i didn't like it that much. my mom then moved me to a private school because i came home every day and always said i didn't learn anything which was probably a complete lie but whatever, it probably helped me in the long run.

she sent me to a 2 jewish day schools and i am currently at a private day/boarding school (i'm enrolled in the day high school program) and i love it there. the food is great (first thing i think of), the education is pretty phenomenal, and it's very well handled. there's a nice laptop program that works well for students and teachers alike; no miscommunications, no nothing.

however i haven't experienced homeschooling so i can't say i want to try that either. i've seen how antisocial homeschooling can make you; one of my childhood best friends was homeschooled and he got so addicted to WoW that my parents made me cut off our relationship - that was in 3rd grade.

as i said, i could go either way.

i think he's talking about one being elementary and one being middle

I am not amused...  This is the Blockland forum.  Does it honestly matter if I overuse punctuation in forum posts?  Also, don't criticize my use of punctuation.  Take a moment to read through your previous post.  Run on sentences and capitalization errors everywhere!  Not to mention your complete lack of punctuation near the end of said post.  Don't comment on my improper use of punctuation until you have corrected your own errors.

May inquire as to what the best post of the day is?

I got kidnapped by Lord Tony when I was born and he raised my amongst his own family and taught me how to dance and sing.

Not really, if you volunteer, or get a job.
huh? lol

both parents having jobs dont make a private school affordable.

you clearly are not 22. i dont think many here would argue me on that. you seem incredibly ignorant about the world.

This is the first time in a very long time that I have agreed with Bisjac.  +10 Respect.

Im confuzzled, are you people actually talking about public schools or just school in general?

Public school is useful early in life. It is an integral part of our social learning, that you really couldn't get by your parents harboring you and select choosing your friends.

Though later in life, highschool maybe middle school, courses should be in line with the person's interest. I could care less that what the Mayan's did or didn't do, I'd love to know about WWI though.

forget yeah, private school with a wide range of academic courses, including honors and AP courses.

...and Christianity :(
