I've already talked with a few people about this, but i'd like to know your opinions. Right now I can call the Marine recruiter and have him transfer me from the Army to the Marines. Only problem is boot camp will be sooner. To be honest i'm doing this in honor of Robert. If I do join i'll be a combat engineer or a rifleman. Thoughts?

Well, what do you want to do?

Well, what do you want to do?

I'm kind of on both sides, which is why I need opinions.

I dont really know much of the Army,  except that it's infantry, the marines are too. But I think, correct me if I am wrong, that the Army operates Tanks, Armored Carriers, etc., and I'm not sure if the marines do and are solely infantry.

Marines use more vehicles than the Army.

Well uh, what's the difference between the Army and the Marines?

I think you should take a few days to think it over, then make a decision.

oh god not the marines
sure they are pretty badass, but do you really want to sleep in the mud, have absolute stuff meals, and have drills for as long as you are in the military?

The Marines is nothing like in the movies, just to let you know.

Built by me.
Designed by me.
And you best hope.
Not pointed at you.

Being stuck on a boat for months on end seems to suck btw.

The USMC has a more rigorous training, and they end up doing more elite things.

Well could you explain the difference? All I know about them is from movies and video games, so I don't really know anything about them at all.
