I have a simple task for you: describe the criteria necessary for one to decide if any given object is or is not a chair, disregarding any previous notions about the classification of such things.

So basically, what makes a chair a chair?


4 legs, a pad, and a back


Or a recliner

a chair is a chair if it is a chair NOW SHUT THE forget UP.

a flat or curved platform upon which can be sat upon, raised from ground level by poles attached to the platform that are placed on the ground


Anything with a design intended to be sat on.

Any object whose main purpose is to be sat on.
