I enjoy the community feel of it.
As you've said, it's like a large family.
We bicker between each other alot, apparantly about what to put on TV, but all the same, it doesn't change the community much.
But also, I enjoy how these forums will cover such wide ranges of topics.
We might be discussing new games and toys, or something about politics or... religion.
We might be reminiscing about aspects of our childhood (One good aspect is that a large sum of us are of reasonable similar age), or we're all jumping to show eachother our desktops.
And I enjoy the ability I get, which is to be able to express myself and my opinions.
I like to write, creatively and argumentatively. And these forum's offer my a chance to do just that, on whatever topic. Again, whether I'm arguing over a new game, something political, or I'm playing a Forum game.
I don't believe you can neccesarilly find all of this in a large number of online communities and forums.
What's also nice, is that we have an Off Topic section.
I'm glad I don't have to continuously discuss Blockland or other games, so, it's nice to have an all purpose forum.
