Author Topic: Low amoutns of people online  (Read 4095 times)

someone should really make a DM server, make teams, make bases, and fight.

Lets face it, be it time zones or other causes, Blockland Retail has a low active user count. Most of it's users are long-time veterans with a few actual new people. The biggest problem I see is that it is not advertised at all. If I recall correctly it was stated in the past that Blockland would be advertised on Garage games, which would of brought a huge userbase, but it was not. People like to build when others are around to admire their work. With few users on at once and no advertising I don't see the games userbase growing larger anytime soon.

lol thats so true. tho yesterday was somewhat more then avrage on someguys server, forgot who but it was cool, i got to see Carzo, Storeclerk (who was acting gay, im not kidding), and sub... wait, thats a bad thing.

Four of those 700~ are from my school and don't play online. Maybe some are just kids busy with school.

I play everyday for at least 4 hours and up.
Which may be bad... I have nothing better to do, Ive been grounded for like a month

1 is my Friend, Yeah most people like Lego like Building games and such but its not a real good "main" game.

My Main game is really Battlefield 2142, but I do play Blockland on the side some times.

Theres not many people playing, but theres usually people looking for a server, when they see a bunch of servers with no one in them, no one joins. But if someone does join more people see a server with one person in, and join. And then more people join, no one wants to play on an empty server. So no one joins them.

Thats a good point, thats why when I see empty servers and I feel like Blockland I normally make one so people will come.

Everybody joins Terror's servers all the time :D

maybe you people just don't look at the right time...there's 68 people playing right now.

This is very rare and when it does happen it's only people checking servers to see what is built and then they quit the game fairly quickly. To prove this at the moment I'm typing this there are only 39 people currently online compaired to your 68 people not to long ago.

I usually run my server between 9:00-10:00 o'clock Western Pacific time, which is -8 hours, so I usually catch but a few people. Even during the day there are not many people.

What BLR needs is just one good plug to get more people rolling in. I don't know if many of you remember, but back in February of 2005 the original BL (not even modded at that point) was briefly spotlighted on the show that would later become the (awful) "Attack of the Show." The userbase grew exponentially.

Was that "Screen Savers" TV Show? Yeah Blockland really needs some thing to draw people in, some thing big some thing huge. Not Super Blockman.
