I'm thinking it's likely that we will begin hosting this again. As such, I'd like to give a little state-of-the-game speech here.
We are attempting to balance the weapons by tracking statistics. We track the total damage dealt with a weapon and the number of times a player dies with a weapon, but we only track statistics for players that have purchased at least one item (so that new players, who will inevitably have a disadvantage as they learn to play, do not skew the results). So far, we are in the third round of this statistics tracking, meaning we have made adjustments based on the data twice. The balance is mostly at a point where it's weapons and not entire teams that need adjustments, so we've made a lot of progress there. However, we're not nearly done with that.
We are also in the brainstorming phase of creating the v2 set of weapons, and building of the v2 map has begun. We may need modellers
and builders to help with these. We'd love to see your ideas, as we've hit a brick wall as far as the brainstorming goes. This goes for weapons and all other items as well as passive and active abilities, like how the Stalkers regenerate health when anyone near them deals damage (passive) or can cloak (active).
Regarding builders: Spock has proposed that we hold a sort of contest for the new map. The winner's map would of course be used in the server, and they may even receive a monetary prize. Be aware that this isn't final yet.
Amade: would you consider opening up applications for builders and modellers?
