Anyone collect them? I recently started getting into it. my turntable is an Audio-Technica AT-LP60. I don't own very many records though. And most of the records I do own are gifts from my Uncle for my birthday. So a bunch of classic stuff. This is my collection so far.

Moving Mountains - Waves
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A#Infinity

And now the classic stuff.

Pink Floyd - The Wall
Yes - Fragile
Rainbow - Straight Through The Eyes
Styx - The Grand Illusion
The Best of Jethro Tull
Rush - S/T
Rush - Fly By Night
Rush - Caress of Steel
Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance
Kansas - Leftoverture
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin 4

I plan on getting more stuff soon. Mainly indie-stuff.

expect to be called a hipster

Also ill check what kind of turntable i have.

The thing is, records skip and sound grainy...

sorry but I like CDs better.

I love you

I actually quite like Priest. One of the better earlier metal bands.

They're is some crackling, but if you take good care of your records they should sound good. But I've noticed with vinyl records that you can pick up a ton more sounds and things that would go unnoticed on a CD or with MP3.

Unless of course you had all FLAC stuff and had studio grade headphones or something.

They only skip if youre handicapped and scratch them or play picture records alot.

My parents have a ton of Vinyl records.

I remember them playing Iron Butterfly a lot on it

Anyone that thinks vinyl sounds better than high quality digital is a moron.

Just saying.

Every time my dad sees a shop selling Vinyl records or a record player he'd remark about how he knew they would coming back in style. Say he's happy he kept his, Then have a urge to get his collection out.

It's not about the quality. From my short time with listening to vinyl, I can tell there are a lot of sounds and nuances I can't hear when listening to digital, that I can hear when I'm listening to a record.

It's all a matter of preference.
