Author Topic: I'm about to purchase the snorkeling/scuba essentials.  (Read 1010 times)

I'll be going to Florida next week and I have a reservation to go scuba diving in open water (my second dive). I'm also planning to take the PADI open water certification course soon.

Anyway, I'm about to purchase my goggles, snorkel, and fins. If anyone has any experience with this, any advice is appreciated.

Aqua lung Infinity Mask. I tried this on at my local dive shop and it seals perfectly and has a great field of vision. Here's where I'm looking to order from.

Aqua Lung Impulse 3 Flex Snorkel. Here's where I'm looking to order from.

I'm still undecided about the fins.

Have fun! Wish I could go :c

Take me with you.
I'm experienced with going 200+ feet below sea level and then coming back to land to sleep.
With nothing in between.
Except maybe dying
Nope nothing.

I love scuba diving, I'm open water certified and have gone on about 16 or 17 dives. As for diving gear, I'd recommend Mares, they make some pretty nice stuff. All of my gear is made by Mares, except for the goggles which are coincidentally enough the same ones you posted.

I'm an advanced open water diver at about 50 dives, but I use an expensive rebreather as I am learning cave diving.

He is just asking for advice, no need to be a douche about it.

I don't even think there are 500 truly active accounts

I've gone on two dives in the Caribbean, but that's it. I want to get certified for open water a lot, diving is probably one of the most fun things I've done.
