I have a problem with my computers

Ok so basicly it's this:
I have 2 computers-a laptop and a PC
On the PC I can play combat arms
on the laptop I cant
the problem with the PC is that it overheats and turns off and I never finish a loving match that means no EXP or GP
Im good at combat arms and I have fun playing it so please tell me what to do

no thats not the problem when I start it it starts overheating and the game takes a long time to start

Sounds like a CPU (or fan) problem.

Most stuff that work on windows vista WILL work on windows 7.

Ha, any Windows version you have right now WILL run on Win7.
But Windows isn't the problem.

I think its because it doesnt run on w7 because it lags when I use w7

If it lags on W7 its your computer, not W7. I run a ton of games meant for XP/Vista on my 7 and they run on max with little to no lag.

Also, you CAN have both on your computer, just keep the XP disk around and install it, or make a partition on your HDD and install it on that.

Windows 7 doesn't cause a game to lag.  Probably your computer can't even handle 7 then.

Your computer is overheating, clean the dust out of it.  Don't use soap and water.

If the fans broken, get a new one and stop melting your PC. Or re-apply the coating that prevents heat.

i mean the one where I play combat arms has windows vista or xp porfessional and gets turned off
the laptop has w7 and doesnt barely get turned off but I cant play combat arms

I have the same problem. I think I need some thermal paste, because I had to replace my CPU a couple times and it got all exposed to dust and half of it is stuck on my old CPU.

Take a house fan, open the case up, and just point a house fan on it.
