infinite isn't a number, it's a description

If you are trying to say which number has more digits, its a tie.

I lol'd how we're arguing over something none of us can comprehend.
Seriously. We're only going to get opinions.

I can reply to you only a sample of how much there are.

well, although pi does have infinite decimals technically it would be rounded down to 3, infinity would be more. but then again this all depends on whether infinity is actually a number or a concept. if infinity were a concept pi would be larger because it's the only number.

Infinite isnt a number.

Infinite isnt a number.

you aren't a scientist, you can't make that statement unless you were to source it.

In mathematics, "infinity" is often treated as if it were a number (i.e., it counts or measures things: "an infinite number of terms") but it is not the same sort of number as the real numbers. In number systems incorporating infinitesimals, the reciprocal of an infinitesimal is an infinite number, i.e. a number greater than any real number. Georg Cantor formalized many ideas related to infinity and infinite sets during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In the theory he developed, there are infinite sets of different sizes (called cardinalities).[1] For example, the set of integers is countably infinite, while the set of real numbers is uncountably infinite

Re: Which number is higher? 3.14 or infinite
Higher, assuming he means in value.

Pi (or 3.14...) is a set number that will never overcome 3.2 in value.

Infinity does not have a set endpoint, meaning it can be any value. For example if you're looking at n number line with 3.14... (pi) and infinity marked on it, 3.14 would be in between 3 and 4, and infinity would just be an arrow above the line pointing in the positive direction.

If you can see any number on the number line that you are comparing 3.14 and infinity on, that is higher than 3.14, infinity is higher.

If the number line only shows from, say, -1 to 2 and has little arrows on the visable end points to show that this is a continuing number line, then you cannot specifically say that infinity is higher in value than pi. (But it would probably be assumed that it is)

tl:dr - It depends on how the numbers are being displayed, but infinity is almost always higher (in value) than pi.
