Author Topic: Java or C#  (Read 1295 times)

I'm debating on weather i want to do Java or C#. I know java is more limited than C# but i'm also trying to find the easiest and most commonly used. I was wondering what Valve ran on. I know Minecraft runs on Java and i kind of want to learn it so i can make a mod for minecraft. I'm really confused on which one i should go with.

Valve uses LUA in the Source engine fyi.

Python?

A program that predates Java and is easy to use.
Once you know this program it'll be much easier to use other ones.

I've heard of LUA before. Its one of the easiest right? Im not trying to get the easiest way out. Im just wondering which one I should use.

If you're going to keep a closed mind about other programs then I suggest you start on Java.
It's easier, don't get ahead of yourself, this takes a while.

Will it make java or other ones more confusing because they have different "styles" of code? Like the same thing means other things now or an old thing doesnt mean anything anymore or in that language.

I know it does. Im just trying to find the best approach towards it.

The languages are different but you'll come across familiar things here and there.

Sadly if I run love.exe in any way, the next time I start up my computer I get a blue screen.

Odd.
