Author Topic: Water and Oil Mods  (Read 2778 times)

I would really like this, even if the oil idea might be a bit overly time consuming for some, I for one would LOVE and oil drilling rp.

This is cool. But, why don't we play Minecraft instead? The torque engine can't handle these physics. It already can't do a lot of things.

The problem is that the geometry in Blockland isn't typically made up of evenly-sized cubes. It's easy to program fluid dynamics in Minecraft because everything is equally low-resolution. In Blockland, you're going to have lots of unique objects that Minecraft-esque water can't typically interact with in the way it should. If anything, it will be slow, unwieldy, and definitely unattractive.

This should work like trench mod, but in reverse.

Where's the oil in minecraft?

That's silly, that'd just use a ton of bricks where we wouldn't need to.

Good point.
In that case, water sources should be able to be dried up/drained.
Water physics don't have to be used at all.

You're not understanding my post. You can't even call any of these techniques "physics". Christ.

Oh.
I get it now.
Well, I just want some sort of water interaction...I mean some of it can be done with events, but the rest would have to be script.

hmm

2. start oil company
3. contract with a gas station company thing
4. cars need gas
5. ???
