Did anyone else watch this show years ago? Or collect the plastic models? My friend reminded me about this franchise today and I'm drowning in nostalgia. I found a handful of my models earlier (missing several parts, unfortunately) and I'm watching the New Century Zero series (the one that aired first in the US, featuring Bit Cloud and his
Liger motherloving Zero) right now.
For those of you who weren't fortunate enough to experience the high magnitude of kick-ass that is Zoids, a Zoid is a mechanical animal with a human pilot used to battle. A Zoid is actually alive, due to the heart-and-mind-like core it contains, though some Zoids appear more sentient than others. The various television series follow different characters battling with their Zoids. The plastic models are like most other models, though in most cases they don't require glue and contain motors that allow them to walk or perform signature moves.
