Windows XP - Who still uses it?

i have a a windows ME still in perfect, working condition. it can run runescape on the lowest setting and flash games from kongregate.

she also thinks closing the tab I browse the forums on will magically make my computer run faster

I didn't, but we have an ancient computer in our basement that runs on '98.
It works pretty well actually.

Anyway, my main computer uses Vista. It's due for a format, just getting a bit clusterforgeted, so I'll install 7 afterwards. I have a copy of Vista Ultimate that I haven't even used yet, lying next to me. IDK why I bought it.
My other main computers use XP because both of their motherboards are from the ASUS K8N/A8N lineup and have real difficulty running Vista/7, unless you flash the BIOS, which I have, but it never seems to work. It'll say SUCCESS or whatever, then next boot it's back to BIOS V1.

get W7 and turn off aero
if W7 can do that
otherwise just switch to the Windows Classic theme
I use Windows Classic on my XP
it looks pretty sharp if you ask me

I have a super old laptop next to me on which I installed XP. It runs super slow and takes about 5 minutes to open Firefox, and never stops stuttering. :)
I didn't think it was that much of a step up from 98 to XP.

All we do is use it for reading old floppy disks, and storing things important.
