Author Topic: Cant turn on antivirus?  (Read 839 times)

Recently i have not been able to turn on my antvirus. I am using Trend Micro Titanium. Any suggestions?

1)get one that isnt so obscure
2)you may have a virus preventing it from running

Im suspecting it is a virus, and windows defender wont work either.

Reboot into Safe Mode and try again.

Use avg it has always worked for me

I told you what your error code meant, and you acted like it wasn't that. I've seen you be an ass in the Real Life Pictures topic.
If you knew his problem, you'd know what to do, and what you suggested won't work.

Any ideas on what the virus is called?

Definitely a virus.

I knew what the code was because I wrote down the beeps and looked it up it was a GPU issue and as for the anti-virus I used avg all my life never fails

How could we? :/
Try to download a program called "Rkill" on another computer.
Or if you can get into your settings and turn off your internet proxy, it should let you on.

Well, there can be many different names. But if you want it simple, it sounds like a Trojan virus.

Has anything been downloaded to your computer or a piece of antivirus software downloaded without you installing it?

You said 6 beeps, 6 beeps is a keyboard controller error on a standard AMI bios.

Also, he can't download another antivirus, and can't start up his current one, so you suggesting AVG was not needed.
