Author Topic: How I just realised that death can ruin the memory of a good life  (Read 799 times)

I know, Herp Derp right. Of course death stops and can ruin life (Or more so ruins those that care about the life lost). After my cat going missing some 3 months ago ive realised that if I ever got another pet i'd only be depressed by the tradgedy of its loss again. Wether that be through old age or other causes. This lead me to think about losing my grandfather and cousin. This world is so full of death it just spoils everything at the end. Memories become bitter and pain me when i think about those ive lost.

I'm sorry if I sound like an emotionaly depressed twat but, I really don't want to go through the pain of losing anything I love but, it's going to happen, It's going to happen to all of us and it's going to happen regurarly.

Edit: Quick title edit to a meaning that I think is more what im trying to put across.

So make the most of it.

Youll make it through this. If you want me to cheer you up, just pm me and we can talk.

Laugh if you wish, but one of the things I've heard that best settles and comforts me, when the tragic feeling of losing a loved on occurs to me, comes from a videogame.

Quote from: Kaim Argonar - Lost Odyssey
When people die, they just go away. If there’s any place a soul would go, it’s in your memories. People you remember are with you forever.

Well that's just bad timing... What would you do if I died?

Well, I don't really know you. I'd pay respects if it was part of the situation but in full honesty not really care.

I guess that's good... Love can hurt.

...Death is nothing but a new beginnning; the soul is merely passing on to a newer, more capable body.

Don't start that bullstuff dude.

Personal belieeefs...

Although, I could easily find comfort in such a thought.

I suggest we lay off of commenting on each other's personal belief's in this topic.
And keep to the main solemn theme.

Yes, this is the line.

I found peace a different perspective of soul. Less religious more universal property.

lets assume that souls and afterlives are real for the sake of a christian argument.

animals do not have souls or afterlives!!!!!!!

another loving person of faith that knows nothing of his faith.

In Christianity when a person dies and if he is holy enough he will pass through the gates of heaven. The problem is the gates don't open, and the only opening is a key hole. Only the soul passes through it while the body falls to hell.

This leaves it to the conclusion that he was talking about reincarnation.

Its true bro. Reincarnation. Look it up.
