Author Topic: I loving hate D-link  (Read 963 times)

I got a new iPod dock, and it can be used as PC speakers. So, I plug it in, and immediately, for whatever reason, it conflicts with the loving network adapter. The drivers refuse to work on Linux aswell, and now I have no PC speakers and if I restart it'll happen again. Both of their drivers will fail and Windows sorts it all out by simply re-enabling the D-Link driver.

God damn it this is pissing me off.

Uninstall the D-Link driver?

Uh, are you using a serial port for a computer gateway?
Try looking up other drivers for it.

Im using a SpeedStream modem and a dummy router.

Im using a SpeedStream modem
Model number? Those modems are quite outdated.
If you have your network set-up right, you don't need drivers for the modem/router. I've never found a network adapter that's made by D-Link (unless it's internal.)

Its a USB adapter. Its a SpeedStream 1500. I have had issues with it in the past.  I am NEVER buying anything made by D-link ever again.

I had a Speedstream 5200. Damn thing died on me.
I have no clue unto as which you're having the problem with.
Maybe it's an IRQ error?

The modem is a SpeedStream 1500, which then goes to a blue Linksys dummy router, which gives the house internet. The modem and router are connected to an old Dell in the back room. The USB adapter on my computer is a D-link DWA-130.
