Author Topic: Shattered Realm -A Forum RP- [Chapter 1: The Quest Begins]  (Read 4502 times)

Look at the bookshelf.

There's strange noises coming from above you, but the lizard creature advised you to stay inside, so you ignore them.

You examine the bookcase.

All of the books are unlabeled and seem to be in sets of 2 to 4. You grab a green one from the top shelf and open it.

The book seems to be in another language. The pages are lined with strange characters you can't understand.

Ask the creature what the language is, and maybe have him read it?

You take the book over to Nupa, who is now sitting at it's tree stump table.

Nupa: "Hmm... What book is this?" It looks over at the shelf. "Oh this one. I've been collecting these books for years. Most of them are just random books that fall out of people's packs in the forest. I'm not quite sure what language it's in..."

Lobur: "Could I hold onto it? Maybe someone in town might know."

Nupa: "Sure." It picks up the red book on the table. "Take this one too. It's in your language"

Obtained Red and Green books!

Read the first page of the red book then go to sleep.

You open to the title page of the book. "Bestiary" is scribbled in large letters. This book looks like it was hand written. You flip to the next page.

It is filled with faded hand-drawn illustrations and long paragraph descriptions. This could be useful in the future.

You find a page with a creature that looks a lot like Nupa:

Dream Weaver
A mysterious race of tiny (normally 2 foot tall) reptilian creatures. They are typically green with two large horns on the top of their head. They live for unknown length of time, and are often killed off by other animals. Research has shown that if unharmed, they are immortal. Surprisingly, these creatures are capable of speech and writing, often filling their burrows with human items and furnishings. It is still unknown of the origins of these creatures. They are usually found alone in various climates throughout the world. Many have theorized that the creatures came from another planet, but it has never been proven.

Dream Weavers, as the name implies, have control over dreams of other creatures and can either create or manipulate those dreams to their benefit. Further research has shown that due to this ability, most dream weavers develop serious cases of narcolepsy and will often fall asleep randomly throughout the day. Further studies on these creatures and their abilities have been inconclusive.

You look over at Nupa, who is asleep in it's nest-like bed. You extinguish your candle and go to sleep.

Edit: Am I the only one that read that in the Pokedex voice?

... not anymore...
Yeah, take a nap I guess.
But... I wonder, do you want to dream with that thing right there?

Let yourself go to sleep. In the morning, wake up and ask Nupa about what food there is and if it's safe to go outside yet.

Go to sleep. In the morning ask nupa if its safe to go outside. And try to craft something with those horns...Throwing knifes made with horns maybe?(try using the silver or copper for handles?)
