IRC 2 Chat Version 2

YOU NEED RTB FOR THIS TO WORK

How to set up
Go to the options > controls, and scroll down until you see IRC to Chat.
Set the toggle and message hud open / close toggle to your liking.

How to use
Open your message hud and type a message (this sends a message to the main window (#rtb))
Type /pm username msg to send a player a pm
Also, to reply quickly to your last conversation, type /r with a space so (/r ) and it will format it for you, it's that easy!

The above. In addition, the next RTB4 Beta hopefully will be a RC and therefore this Add-On could possibly, but not for sure as things can change drastically, be useless very soon. I'm also not sure Parenting the new chat would be advisable.

If you aren't sure, then why are you giving advice out? Anyways I never parented the new chat, I've only parented the message hud..

Uh... 1: You can't parent the new chat, you don't have RTB4 or the Beta. 2: You're parenting the onKick and such of IRC chat...

I was saying that, if you want this to be useful after RTB4, you'd modify the new chat. However, the new chat is more complex and it wouldn't be advised to go loving around with it.

No, RTB 4 is using it's own chat. Blockland's in-game chat on servers still exists.

It's been known for far over a year that RTB has its own chat client now, instead of piggybacking IRC. Ephialtes even said that, very very far in the future, he might open the chat protocol so we can use it elsewhere...
