Author Topic: Putting Blockland on Steam  (Read 4334 times)

Why not put Age of Time on Steam, and on the Age of Time website have Blockland advertised?
somethin like that, maybe?

Since you can become nude, even if it is ugly, it would get rated A on there and blocked out of most listings.

Plus its stuff.

Steam's got a monopoly on mainstream PC gaming.
Blockland's not mainstream.

I don't see how putting Blockland on steam could cause any problems at all, except for reworking the payment system.

Worst idea ever. Age of Time isn't even close to being a finished game. I doubt Steam would even accept putting up a game concept as a full game on their service.

Blockland on Steam COULD boost the sales of Blockland.
However, the fact that Steam (Valve) takes a little margin from that money.

But i couldn't think of a good valid reason to not do it actually.
I would love to hear Badspot's commentary on this actually.

Rotondo has already mentioned why they haven't already. There is problems with copy right issues and similarities to Legotm

Then Roblox should have been sued by now.

Try reading the topic. It's already been mentioned that the amount of money they make is insignificant compared to the boost of sales.

No, he wouldn't be able to sell it at all if there were.

No because I hate people.
Yes because it would make the game more popular.

I say yes.

I said no. Because I said. I'd say more advertising. I hardly see anymore blockland ads.

-forget this, already brought up-

I vote yes. Expanding our community of smart people might make the stuffs run away. BUT THIS UNLIKELY. I WISH.

I saw it myself. and anyway, he also said that it isn't "Indi enough" to be on steam and cant be counted as a full game.

Indie enough?
It's three people who have worked on this game. Terraria managed to get on steam with a group of about 3-5 people and have around 20k sales at the time. Blockland has 1-3 people working on it with 30k sales.

Now that I have this new computer, I can see why you guys want it on Steam. I run Steam, MSN, Firefox, and Amnesia all at once, and not a glitch. I could even run more. Weird.
