Author Topic: I told off my physical therapist.  (Read 3672 times)

um, i'm not about to read 5 pages to see if someone's already said this, but:
hey, OP, listen up
PT is out there to help you
if you broke your leg "because of PT" it almost certainly was not "because of PT", if your therapy was apparently what caused your leg to break by walking, why was it in a "million pieces" and why would not walking have helped said "million pieces" to blow apart

i realize that you should probably be listened to when you scream "stop" but seriously the outbreak was pretty unnecessary if it's true.. you should tell her that you should probably develop a bit slower than she's going with the stretches because if you're feeling like your arm will split you are definitely not "fine" and do in fact need to "get better". she is in fact there to help, and while it might not seem like it, it's true.

i realize you're terrified of your mom but talk to her and tell her to tell the PT that the stretching that she's performing is too physically straining for your arm and express that your arm "feels like it will break" and that you should take it slower.. while it might mean more weeks with the PT it certainly will feel better.

also i realize that you have osteoporosis but seriously that's all the more reason to let her help

You gave that bitch the working over she deserved. I can understand if there is SOME pain, but if you feel like passing out that's way over the threshold.

keep in mind that lizzierascal is a 12 year old girl. people around our age these days tend to overexaggerate.
thus don't believe everything she says, i.e. "leg shattered in a million pieces"

I don't really know
I guess she was doing her job
but she should have stopped when you told her to
though a lot of that was uncalled for...

Therapy is a bunch of nonsensical bullstuff.

Therapy is a bunch of nonsensical bullstuff.
physical therapy isn't like mental therapy
mental therapy is handicapped
physical therapy is actually really helpful

I wasn't being serious about "shattered into a million pieces."

But it did go from a tiny fracture to a huge split in the bone ranging from my kneecap to my upper thigh.

From putting full pressure on it and afterwards the cast was put on wrong.

I'm really sorry about what happened to you lizzy let's just hope you don't turn into a freak when you get older so have icecream it'll make you feel better  :iceCream:

That is a highly incompetent PT and so are the hospital staff. I feel bad for you.

Well there is already a lot of permanent damage. That's why I think it's unnecessary to take meds. I've already been on 5 different types.
