Author Topic: Guitar Hero v1.0  (Read 2492 times)

I was somewhat bored in Blockland, looking for something to work on that doesn't use any extra Add-Ons, and I came up with this!
I present to you the Guitar Hero v0.7 arcade game!
There is such things as leveling up, well chosen emitter effects, sounds, and style.

Here's some pictures.

An overview.

A view of where exactly you play.

And the works of the game.

Please give constructive criticism, and rate x/10

EDIT: Alright! v1.0 is HERE!
List of changes:
  • A ton of minor bugs fixed
  • Put colors to where they should be
  • Fixed scoring points after you lose, and this causes the score to be so when you play again.
  • Added difficulties!
  • Made the base a bit fancier
DOWNLOAD v1.0

EDIT: I have uploaded a trailer for this! Take a look at it HERE.

I give it 8/10! Very clever execution. Isn't really Guitar Hero, though.

WHERE IS ORANGE?

-10/10  till the orange button gets added

Nice, guitar hero's are a nice game to make, and also fairly simple. I have the save of an old one that i made where you hold the keyboard and press numbers corresponding to the notes. I never found out how hard it was because i had a laptop XD

Ontopic: What method did you use for selecting notes to play? Random, manually in events or one of those long level editor things?
8/10 - Looks good, but could use with some more gameplays.

7/10 Add orange then a 9/10

I have a DDR someone else made. Also somewhat like this, except you don't click.

I never figured out who exactly made it. The basic structure is brown, and everything else is colored.

Alright, v1.0 is coming, guys.
Possibly around v1.5 there will be an orange note. Also, to add an orange note, I will have to tear down half of the build.

There is a big chance it will be released in less than an hour.

The guitar hero franchise got cancelled.
Anyway, I give it a 7/10.

I actually made it so it randomly spawns pong projectiles.
Take a look at the back of the build, and you'll see the box that has the four colors in it.
And that lid spawns radio waves (It used to spawn gun bullets) randomly across that 2x2 plate, and each of those colored 1x1s have events that if it gets hit by that radio wave, it spawns a pong corresponding to the color it is.

Bump.
I'm planning to work on this some more, possibly completely redo it.

PM me pictures, I may know what you're talking about and who made it.

There should be a video on you playing it. :D

THERES NO ORANGE BUTTON
NOW WE'LL BE STUCK ON MEDIUM FOREVER

HHHNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG G

There should be a video on you playing it. :D

:P
I'm actually creating one right now.
It should be posted on youtube. I'll post it up on OP once it's done uploading.

It's just a trailer, though. I'll make another vid of me playing, and beating it on hard.

EDIT: The trailer is uploading right now!

Bump.

I'll keep working on this in a few.
