So I was trying to get this program to fix itself on my Windows laptop, but it wouldn't work, and one of the suggested ways to fix it was restart my computer. My computer overheats really quickly, and I had been playing for about 2 hours, so I expected it to overheat and automatically shut down. I figured I'd restart my computer, and then shut it off to let it cool down. But as I restarted it, it overheated and shut down. I didn't figure this was that bad, but an hour later I turned on the computer, expecting the normal "Windows didn't shut down properly" message.
But instead, it says "Because Windows didn't shut down properly, we have to do a system check through your entire computer, which will take about an hour." However, there was a second choice.
It said it would just restart my computer and delete a bunch of installed things, which included Blockland, Minecraft, as well as my entire Steam list of games. I wasn't going to go with that, so I let it system check. And then I waited. And waited. And waaaaited. And after an hour and a half, it gives me a new message.
"Windows cannot not do a system check."

Then it restarted.
