Author Topic: I increased my ram.  (Read 1246 times)

I went from 512MB RAM to 1024MB RAM, how well would I be able to run decent computer games now?

How did you even run anything atall at 512 MB RAM?
Well, most games use like 1.2GB so you should be borderline fine with games like Minecraft and L4D and stuff.

I feel like this is a joke thread.

I've managed to run Fallout 3 with 512MB RAM. It was almost unplayable after 45 minutes of gameplay. So I had to restart constantly.

you need atleast 2048MB of ram to run most games correctly.

I have 2 1GB RAM strips alying next to me as we speak but I am too downright lazy to put them in.
I will convince myself to do so tomorrow.

I should at least be able to run fallout 3 with less of a problem now, right?

Also I don't normally play modern PC games, I usually play older 90s to early 2000s.

Then get an extra 1GB for safety

4096 gb of ram :D

my hardware is reserving 1.5 gb so im stuck with 2.5 :c

1GB costs money.
How much does it cost in general actually?

Honestly it depends on what type of RAM you have
