1GB costs money.

What kind of RAM are you using? I assume DDR 2?

It's actually like 10 bucks a gig. I got a 4gb stick for $40.

I find that hard to believe.
40 bucks for a 4 gig ram stick
I'm not even sure that they make ram in 4 gb sticks.

Mow a lawn like normal kids

???

8 GB RAM

I have two 4GB DDR3 sticks

no it isnt. all brands are diff. the better ones have lifetime hardware factory warranties and are more likely not to stuff out.

DDR2 or DDR3 aren't all you buy. each come in different speeds.

my new comp im (of course spending more then average) like 500 bucks on 12gigs.
i need fast as stuff ram of name brand. and that can take a good overclocking.

i wish it was 120 bucks...

You probably have a newer computer also.
Most motherboards only support DDR2.

In this case, Tony had to upgrade his computer with more ram, thus suggesting
he is using DDR2

I would love to have yer computer blaman
ijelly

I only have 3 gigs of ram

Not even any dust on the case. :)

DDR3 isnt that new or highend though. its just the most modern mobo's.
if you got a prebuilt anywhere during the last 3 years you should have ddr3

Depends on what kind of RAM.
Be the way he only had 512 MB, I'm assuming it's DDR or DDR2. DDR is very expensive and DDR2 is a less, but still waay more than DDR3.
I've got 4GB of DDR2 RAM. Gonna get another 4GB and have 8.
:D

I'm using Windows XP and it seems a lot of games require a minimal of 512GB RAM like TF2. While games like fallout 3 require a minimal of 1GB RAM.

Awesome I can play fallout 3 again.

What's your videocard?
That and the CPU are the main parts you should worry about for computer building.

I have 4 GB of RAM and the 3 GB of Ready Boost on a SD card.

You know you can download more RAM, right?

Now you can have even more!
