Am I the only one who can't tell people by their avatars and actually read's their name? :O

if you join the navy you should train to be in the elite task force designated to kill osama bin laden's ghost.

I love how that recruitment page shows all the positives, yet omits the one big con which is that you can be shot in the head and drop dead during your service and get paid nothing.

Of course it's obvious. However the fact is that trying your best to hide it from the recruitment page is pretty messed up.

Mostly the military is trying to recruit people who can't readily pay for college upfront these days. That's the real target group I've noticed, because if you can already get into college and pay for it then the military ends up being low on your priorities (like in my case). They're not gonna put a bunch of beheading videos up for "ultra-reality of the middle east", or some sort of "Meet arab women, TODAY!" poster.

Then there's the people who want career experience/leadership experience, which follow along the same general principle.

Edit: Once you turn 18 you're a legal adult as far as the government is concerned so all the fact-finding and research you put into figuring out how you want to spend the next 4 years is up to you really.

you know, the military isn't all combat, there are desk jobs in the military.

Also it's pretty hard to get shot in the head aboard a nuclear submarine

if I get shot in the head I will leave seventh everything I have

Hehehe, you'll be in a vessel six months at a time with no women and a bunch of horny men.

A nuclear submarine doesn't necessarily mean a submarine with nuclear warheads on board.
