Before all the HD channels were in the 700 slot now they moved them over to the 1,000 slot. At first I thought this was horrible and I have to remember what show is what all over again. It turns out that's not the case anymore.

Basic Cable CartoonNetwork is channel 58.
HD version before the change was 771.
Now the HD version is set at 1058.

Same goes to every other show like Nick which is 44 and the new HD channel is 1044. Or spike which is 27 and it's new HD channel is 1027.

There is also potentially 98 more channels on the way since they moved channels 700-798 somewhere else.

Tl;dr

My basic cable channel numbers are almost exactly the same as the HD channel numbers except HD channels have an added 10 in the front.

You didn't even read it right.

Sorry. I still live in the stone age where we only have 12 channels or so.

The stone-age had 3 channels, you are living in the advanced stone-age.

Woo 64 channels where I probably watch 15 of them regularly at the most.

You ninnies and your fancy satellite dishes with too many channels.

I almost forgot about 100-200 channels.

The HD versions are 1100-1200.
