Need urgent help - Frog problem in front yard.

So today I went outside to catch frogs in the yard and release them into the woods because there were too many frogs that you couldn't walk two steps without stepping on one. Now the problem here isn't the number of frogs.

After catching as many as I could find, I started to notice a few frogs were dead AFTER I caught them, and alive before I caught them. I piled them up and looked at the side of them only to see that they have loving holes inside of them. Perfectly round holes the size of an index finger. The worst part is after poking them with a stick, a red tensile goo falls out of the hole, and starts fizzing slightly.

After that, I use the stick to pull out the goo and look inside, the frogs were completely hollow, devoid of any organs, and they had these tiny black worms inside of them.

So what happened to the frogs? This is creeping me the forget out.

That was my first guess lol.

I want to know if the worms are dangerous of any sort. Seems how I live next to the woods, it's full of wildlife that's always moving around the house.

If any of them were to get a potentially threatening disease or parasite and spread it to our pets, the pets would continue to get us sick.

I think you should try talking to someone who knows about these things, maybe a vet.

There are a lot of puddles everywhere, and there are a lot of maggots in those puddles.

Maybe the frogs could have drank from the puddles and in turn the maggots got inside of the frogs and ate their organs, and when they moved on from being pupae, they ate through the frog's body to escape.

This reminds me of System Shock 2, but with frogs.
