Author Topic: Banned for helping  (Read 2232 times)

So recently I've been banned from several servers for trying to make suggestions.

Most recently was Vegeta's server, when I suggested to use a load tools on death mod so that players weren't abusing load events and handing out free items all around.

I don't feel like going back and taking 97 screenshots so, I attached a file from the chatlogger mod on RTB.

Right after that last sentence, I was banned while typing why "it matters".

I was also banned from a TF2 server made by [US]Penthoplayer, after trying to explain why Rotondo's zombiemod breaks Bushido's sentry pack. Apparently the host had gotten tired of being told why zombiemod was bad(when used for pretty much anything besides the gamemode itself), and banned me.

second text file, from that server is attached.

Do hosts have something against constructive criticism, or are they just ban happy?

discuss.

I don't think you should've been banned, but I can see why you were. All you did was complain semi-constructively about what the host did wrong, with nothing positive. Maybe hosts get tired of lots of criticism and no compliments?

As for the TF2 server, I was getting tired of

Quote
[13:13:28][°Core°]: ...why do you have zombiemod enabled
[13:13:37][Tamaguen]: fro the health lockers
So that's why I wasn't complimenting much.
The build was also made out of 1x1x5s and had no detail at all

It sounds to me more like you were being a backseat admin and whining about everything.

Hey...
I think
That I was there.
Either that, or Core said the exact same thing we were arguing with another host.

Which one?

Not "whining". Explaining why certain mods can break other ones.
