Ghost Brick not Appearing?

As the title says, why doesn't my ghost brick appear?

In previous versions, this, I believe caused you to crash. Baddy fixed it, though.
My solution to this is to Ctrl K.
Try that, and see if it works. If not, I don't know what to tell you.

Ive been experiencing the same thing, And i do not know how to fix it, i guess its just a minor glitch...

First, clear your ghost brick with numpad0, then hit the tools button twice, then try to place your ghost again. That fixes it for me.
