"The original v9 eventers."

MicroBlock was the original eventing clan that came around in 2008, following the release of version 9 of Blockland. It was operated by IcyGamma (4127) who used the clan to create what was known as the 'Blockland Computer' or 'BLPC'. Quite quickly afterwards, Blockintosh emerged, and soon after that iEvent was made. Unfortunately, a naive IcyGamma ended up getting himself banned from the forum and all his members were snapped up by rival clans.

MicroBlock officially closed in 2009, having created a number of Blockland Computers that for their time were a great novelty. More than 3 years since its original creation, MicroBlock has returned. It was the only clan IcyGamma managed to sustain (until the fatal incident that had him banned). It has merged with Icy's modern clan Ascii, if you were a member in that group please contact me to transfer to this one. I haven't had a very good history with operating clans admittedly, but my best job was with MicroBlock and it only went down the drain due to a vicious rumor I had left for good. :c

MicroBlock has made a return in 2011, kicking off a fresh alliance with the iEvent clan.

We are organizing dedicated servers. If you wish to apply, please attend a server and get to know the people. Send in any of your event work by posting it here. You can learn more about application guidelines here.

This clan is not for everyone. MicroBlock in 2011 is looking for members who have an advance knowledge and appreciation of events, and have an interest in sustaining the niche practice of building evented computers in Blockland, purely as a building hobby.

By joining the clan, you take part in:

- Helping develop hardware and ROMs for MicroBlock computers
- Share and learn event knowledge in a casual environment with other people
- Have your own space in our HQ, where you can hang out, build your own projects, or freebuild

Yesterday I hand refurbished an original IcyDesktop 1001 form v9, in pretty poor condition. TomTheGeek appears to be developing a private collection, I fully restored this gem of old eventing builds. Tom was pretty insistent on exploiting an error in which the IcyWind laptop likes to turn the IcyDesktop's keyboard into a dancefloor. :I

I wish i knew how to event :(

I can make working light switches!

But seriously I've made a really advanced pc in Blockland but lost the save due to new computers.

It's stupid that we have to had been around in v9, there are experienced eventers from later on you know

Me and Feep created an eventing clan before you.. You aren't the "Original" eventing clan.. :U

There was only one eventing clan before mine, and it was based on Space Guys events, which are unofficial. I am very sure there are no eventing clans, based on the official system, pre-September 2008.

Nobody said that. MicroBlock would just prefer people who understand the BLPC fad that once existed. It was a 'generational' thing if you will.

Pretty sure that was based off of the official events.

I did actually just find that a moment ago. But if I may:

This clan is all about building and wrench events.

Doesn't sound like an event clan. Just a general building and eventing group. MicroBlock is specific to events entirely, esp. mock electronics.

Are you requesting applications at the moment, or is the clan open for joining?

Really wasn't a building clan, everybody evented. No good builders lol.

Whatever though, doesn't really matter.
