Author Topic: Travis now knows how to drive!  (Read 1395 times)

So, over the weekend, I went to Colorado for the annual family reunion. While there, I had wanted to drive, because the nearest town was 50 miles from Cheyenne Wells,(Where it was held) so I asked my mom if I could drive, and she said yes. She pulled out her 2011 Ford Expedition to the long, dirt road, taught me how to put it in park, drive, and reverse, and told me to take it slowly, and I didn't crash into anything (Doing better than my dad all-ready) and when I got to the end, did a U-Turn, and finished. Later that night, my uncle let me take his Suburban out into the pasture, while he was spotting out jackrabbits, I was driving. Once we got to a long stretch of land, he told me to floor it, which felt amazing, because it was the second time ever behind the wheel, and I get to floor it. Then he told me to park in my Aunts garage, while he went to get something to drink. He taught me how to pull out of it, then he told me to go to her wheat field beside her house, and to bring hell to the ground. I hit 65 MPH, got the passenger side covered in mud, with the recent storm from the night before.
At one point, he told me to crank the wheel to the left, all the way, and floor it. I did 2 donuts, and sprayed mud everywhere. After that, I parked his Suburban, like a boss, and later that night, he told me that I had balls for flooring it, because his son, and my cousin, when he told them to floor it, they wouldn't because they were afraid of tipping it. The next day, my dad let me drive 3 miles to the farm, because I did such a good job driving.

Note: My uncle was a professional stock car racer, and I'm 12.

It really only comes up on the test, and crowded cities.
