Author Topic: Damage Per Second Calculation [Events]  (Read 1070 times)

I was working for Cciamlazy today, and I wanted to figure out which weapons were better than others, so I set up a test to calculate the 'DPS' of the weapon. For accurate results, I have it set at a 20 second capture time, and these events won't work on weapons that do more than 100 damage per hit, or send the bot flying.

Events go on a vehicle spawn, and it needs to have a Standard Bot spawned on top of it.

Required Events:
1) Variable and Conditional Events
2) Bot Events
3) SetEventTimeout

They are beast!! Thats why Orthone is in my clan! :D

Also, if anybody wants it, I did another simple calculation to get time between attacks. It's not 100% perfect, so I suggest getting 5 scores.

You will need to hit it once before getting a real difference, because I forgot to reset it. x3

Also, a chart of Jerkface's weapons. (Along with the cost I'll be using for the RPG. =P)

The Stiletto is Defunct due to it being overpowered, the BattleAxe was removed from the list because it does the same Damage and DPS as the 2H Sword.

Just to show you what I've done with the DPS Calculator.

:O

Test T+T?
Maybe in the future, though I left the events, and a bedroom save, should anybody want to test T+T themselves.

So all the event addons you need are VCE and default?

This was a fun challenge.

Every once in awhile I find someone who posts events in a gallery topic, in those I challenge myself to do better, and rarely ever post my result because it makes me feel like I'm stealing someone else's thunder.

Anyway, I found this one to be creative yet a tougher challenge then most, good job.

Of course, I'm not going to say if I did better or worse.

I wouldn't mind a PM to see how you did it, I would like for nothing more than to make things easier on myself. ;)
