Author Topic: Fred desires hobby  (Read 1393 times)

I have a job, few other things going on (friends, girlfriend, I do a bit of photography, etc.) but I still spend a bit too much time on my computer.
SO, I want a new hobby-ish thing to do. I want it to be a project I can work on, like building something. It'd be nice if it was something I could start/stop when I wanted.

gogo

u can always draw/write

and if u want to get out more them run, or maybe learn some instruments.
u can also study.

You could do paper modeling. It's more involved than origami, but it actually makes sense to me, and it looks really realistic.
There are plenty of free models of almost anything out there on the web.

Essentially, you cut out stuff on paper, fold and glue it together.

You can do this WHENEVER you want.

It's not as hard as it looks.

I read photography as research

I read photography as research
You should do research. Sesah.

Read, crossword puzzle, sudoku, lots of stuff.

Build a pyramid with a deck of cards, draw, sketch, take a picture and draw it, run, etc. You could always try a new instrument. I play 4 instruments so it's not at all difficult to learn a new one.

Learn some basic programming.

I got bored like this as well.

Downloaded Blender, learned how to use it, fun.

Oh, and try making YouTube videos. Fun as well.

I've actually found Bike Mechanics very interesting. Like the Geometry of Downhill Bikes.....http://www.pinkbike.com/news/2011-specialized-demo-8.html

But theres always model cars/boats/airplanes etc.    c:

I would suggest drawing.
Even if you suck, its fun as hell =)

Gardening is a fun hobby. Set yourself a challenge of growing your own vegetables or something you'll enjoy it.
Unless your allergic to grass like I am.

Do I sound like a hippy?
