I role played so much in Oblivion, I would choose a single town and live there. Some days I would go out to nearby caves and ruins and gather loot and other days I would walk around town and talk to people/ trade a little. Other days I'd stay in my house in solitude and brew potions and read books.

It's just armor.

I bet they did it partly because nobody could figure out how to pronounce "Cuirass".
"QUER-iss" is how I pronounce it.

Oh and be sure to put the Arena into the favorite guilds poll. It is, technically, a guild with its own questline.

Pants and Shirts are connected.
I also wonder if you can wear clothing under your armour, like in Morrowind. Probably not, but maybe.
