When is cross posting acceptable?

Cross posting is when you take the same image and post it numerous times in either the same topic or different topics but what exactly makes cross posting acceptable?

There has been people going around trying to ban others for posting the same image twice and they claim it's cross posting, but I'm pretty sure that's acceptable. I may have posted the same image once or twice and then I get some douchebag saying he's going to report me for cross posting. The only time I have ever seen someone get banned for cross posting was when they posted the same image over 15+ times.

I'm pretty sure it's alright to post the same image 2-3 times within the same week. Posting the same image over 10+ times in a span of a week is obviously cross posting so can we stop this senseless reporting?

I'm saying this to everyone in general. People seem to think posting the same image twice will get you banned for cross posting.

Tony, the reason people are trying to get you banned for cross posting is because you've been mercilessly pestering a large group of people for a long time and doing everything to get you banned is the extent of their power on this forum. Since what you're doing apparently isn't breaking the rules, they're going to get you any way they can.

There was one incident where a forum member quoted their own picture and then they were threatened for cross posting until they edited their post. Reguilith if you posted the same picture at least twice you may already have someone screaming 'cross-posting' immediately.

As for crossposting, if it's something like a reaction image and such, and it applies to the topic, it should more or less be okay, as long as it doesn't become the majority of your posts. I believe the rule against crossposted origionally only meant not to make a new topic in more than one board to get more attention. Do you guys know of anyone who's been banned for crossposting? I'm sure there's some, but I've never seen a ban for it.
