Author Topic: Building a computer, what parts to get?  (Read 1213 times)

I'm wanting to build a decent-enough gaming computer, my budget is £500 which is around $810. However i need to buy parts from a site which delivers to the UK and not just the US.
The things I'm wanting at least;
64 Bit, Quad Core
4 Gigs of Ram
A graphics card, doesn't need to be too high end, just to run games decently.
I'm aiming to run games like Just Cause 2, Black Ops at high settings if possible.
If anyone can help me with this I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

Go with an Intel i7 3.4GB quad core processor
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6870
Get a nice motherboard that can handle it
Case
Cooling system

Should run you about 700 - 800$

It's not that I don't have the money for it, it's that for my first ever build I don't want to waste money.

It doesn't matter if it's your first or tenth build, you want to build a computer that lasts for a while.

But if i buy expensive parts, and they break, won't it be easier to buy cheap parts, less money to repair?
