Building a computer, what parts to get?

I'm wanting to build a decent-enough gaming computer, my budget is £500 which is around $810. However i need to buy parts from a site which delivers to the UK and not just the US.
The things I'm wanting at least;
64 Bit, Quad Core
4 Gigs of Ram
A graphics card, doesn't need to be too high end, just to run games decently.
I'm aiming to run games like Just Cause 2, Black Ops at high settings if possible.
If anyone can help me with this I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

Have you looked at New Egg, Tom's hardware, your local computer parts stores?

New Egg doesn't ship outside the US, I'm looking around Tom's hardware now thanks!

It doesn't matter if it's your first or tenth build, you want to build a computer that lasts for a while.

But if i buy expensive parts, and they break, won't it be easier to buy cheap parts, less money to repair?
