Author Topic: Buying a prebuilt desktop.  (Read 1738 times)

As some of you know, my laptops power cord is going out.
I dont need a computer immediately but getting 1,300 dollars for the desktop I want to buy is ridiculous for a 14 year old. I've asked my parents to help me pay for the computer but they said no.
So I now have another idea, saving up for a laptop. As everyone knows, laptops are much cheaper, and I can get a decent gaming laptop for about 600 dollars. The thing about getting a laptop is, I dont  know what laptop to buy.

Now for the questions;

1. Should I save for a desktop or a laptop?
2. What laptop should I get? (links please)

I dont know how long my power cord will last, and im not entirely sure its the power cord. Im guessing I have about a week before my laptop/powercord goes out.
Any help would be nice.

Definitely a desktop.
And no, laptops are not much cheaper. They are generally more expensive.

well uh. itd be most convenient if you just built it yourself. it's really easy, all you do is plug things in and screw in a few screws.

Laptops are generally more expensive and a lot weaker.
However, laptops are useful if you travel a lot.

DISCLAIMER: I use laptops.

Double negative, bro.

Edit: Also, saying laptops are cheaper than desktops is like saying sports cars are cheaper than SUVs.
