Author Topic: Video: Trampoline Water  (Read 1249 times)

People have been neglecting Mission Editor modifications since Add-Ons became easier to produce and distribute. In the below video, I show how a few extremely simple (Thus, not enough for Gallery) edits to Slopes' water can create a lot of fun. Bouncing vehicles across it is amusing, and could possibly be used in some kind of Race to the Other End gametype. Remember to read the warnings in the description... Well, warning about matching high density/viscosity.

And it's so simple to do. I don't get why people don't usually do it anymore.

The music goes well with this.

That. Was, well, rather odd.

MUST DO.

Ah, it's the only normal filetype sound file I have on my new computer. Converted from Toonstruck's game files.

That. Was, well, rather odd.

MUST DO.

Yep. Rather odd indeed. Did I capture Big Brother in there?

The reason nobody does this is because it's kinda pointless. While bouncing around may be a novelty for a couple of minutes, I wouldn't really want this in my map.

It's not really meant for a real map. It's modification for fun. Driving vehicles over it is amusing, as you can pack a bunch of people in and, with some setting changes, make a game of it.

Makes the water look pretty.

That's some distortion variable I found. Also added the water's movement speed. :D

By the way, the video can go 1080p. :cookieMonster:

I like to do this for amusement every once in a while. People don't include it in maps because it isn't usually practical. Though the mere idea of irregular features in maps interests me and I'll see if I can come up with a good map idea to include stuff like this in.
