Author Topic: Help: Streaming audio into microphone channel.  (Read 1007 times)

On my old computer, I could go to the microphone settings and change it from Microphone to Stereo, which would begin streaming the audio I play on my computer into the microphone channel. I either can't find a similar option on this computer, or it doesn't exist. If I really can't do this by default on this computer (Windows 7 64 Bit), could someone suggest a program to do this?

Maybe it includes video? But rather just audio.

Edit: http://community.justin.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=43 This is what I used to do on my old XP computer.

you're stupid.
that doesn't help Mega.

Try clicking show disabled items, and look at stereo mix, or enable it. I can't remember how I did that.

If you're trying to switch audio type I dunno.

You're going to forget the Tinychat now...

I decided I'd only use it for Microsoft Anna so I can talk when my Mom is in the other room with, not only no door, but gaping entryways between them. (Microsoft Anna because Windows 7 doesn't have Sam.)

Edit: They spammed a few people out. I might have to use whatever method given for evil.

Holy stuff, it's giving me a headache. I look up "Stereo mix" and all that, trying to find find a way to do this... It's like the idea was murdered by the CIA.

Would anyone care to have a program I can use, or a way of enabling Stereo Mix on my computer?

Easy! Just look for the disabled audio items, and stereo Mix should be one of them.

It's not there. I read that some people don't have it, and downgrading drivers brings it back. But I don't want to do that...

Dear Geek and ALL,
This Stero MIX problem has started with Vista and now windows 7.. And that this has nothing to do with SOUND DRIVERS whatsoever...

The reason Stero Mix disappears in Vista and Windows 7 has NOTHING to do with sound drivers  at all.

Because this problem only happens to   CERTAIN BRAND of LAPTOPS only..
This   is because these BRANDS such as DELL, VAIO, ACER, etc.have signed an AGREEMENT with. The Music Recording Industry to TAKE STREO MIX off windows Vista and  7..

That 's why you would find that other PC laptops BRANDS such as Fujitsu, Toshiba, ASUS etc.... Stereo MIX is still functioning well  in  Vista and Windows 7..

I worked as PC technician since 1994 .. and this is the first problem that NO ONE want to answer, even though THEY KNEW..
many customers have sent their written complaints to Microsoft, DELL, VAIO, ACER (now Gateway)  (Me too) but they would try their best to be EVASIVE...but never explain even though THEY knew it.

If people want stereo Mix back...we must start CLASS ACTION.. by STOP BUYING these BRANDS (Vaio, Acer, Dell etc)  and tell THEM OUT LOUD why we boycott them....

That's all.
In the mean time, if those people with DELL, ACER, VAIO want to use STERO MIX function , You can install  VAC (Virtual Audio Cable) software.. http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
Or come back to Windows XP.. with XP Stereo MIX would work well in every PC

bye all

So this means that this was all intentional stuff and they won't care what anyone says.

Edit: I got VAC working finally, and the audio I send sounds like it's being played through a thrashing wig. :panda: Where can I get older drivers for "AMD High Definition Audio Device?"

I don't even know what exactly my audio device is. It'd take forever to find out that, find models, then see if the drivers are even available and know if they will work and not crash me.
