I need help in Audacity

I was trying to record something off the computer after i fixed Audacity
and i heard a clicking noise and messed up noises. If I record nothing that
clicking keeps coming up anyways. I need some help on how to fix this!

I have some problems with that on the Audacity Beta version. Now I just use the version before the beta, and it works fine. Are you using beta, by chance?

Or it could be a ghost.

it looks like you don't have it set to record anything
set it to record "wave," if you're trying to record what is coming out of your speakers
