Author Topic: New Video card doesnt agree with Steam Games?  (Read 572 times)

I recently purchased a Zotac GeForce 9500GT and I love it. But for some reason America's Army 3 runs just like it did on my integrated card. I can't figure it out! It's as if AA3 uses the old card rather than my new bad ass Zotac! Should I reinstall AA3 or something? I actually think there may be a built in frame limiter that limits me to 2 FPS. Because no matter what the video settings are, whether I'm in the menu or ingame it always looks like it's at exactly 2 FPS! It's freakin' bullstuff!

sounds like 9500gt just isnt good enough for AA3, then

assuming that video card is, "new".

lol, douchebaggery aside; have you installed drivers?

But next time you should get a GTX 460.

No, it's a good card. It can't run GTA IV on max graphics, but it can on all my other games. Besides I already said the performance with this card is identical to the performance on my stuffty integrated card. so I think it's a malfunctioning framelimiter

Got it from Amazon, cheaper new than used (wtf?) and the card was perfectly clean. And yes, I have all the drivers installed

A little out of my price range and I do have the drivers on here.

My 9500 can run America's army just fine. Did you try running in a smaller resolution?

i dont see how games run from steam are affected any.

maybe the card just isnt good enough. steam has nothing to do with it.

When you get the card, it most likely comes with a driver CD.
Don't install it. They are bad and outdated.
Download the latest from nvidia.com

The 9500 can't run AA3 at all.  I used to have one.  Why did you buy such an outdated card?

The 9500GT is pretty old and even for its time it was a lower-end card.
