How exactly do you stray from atheism?

So far, Telly has been leaning on generalizations and not thinking about people as individuals. Good job handicap. Not everyone "does" nice things because God told them to.

I'm sorry to burst your bubbles but religion will not die until you kill the populace over it. No matter what fact or science deems as fact, there will always be a religion or a religious person.

There's always gonna be stupid people out there.
But as a majority, it'll decrease.

Exactly correct! So trying to get rid of religion by force is totally purposeless!

Dear christ!  Do you have any idea what I've actually been trying to say?

Also, notice that a religious discussion has started an argument.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again:  religion causes too much conflict.

That religion will eventually dissipate over time? No.

I doubted my god once, SORRY SPAGHETTI MONSTER

Convert to a religion.

That religion will eventually dissipate over time? No.
Religion will probably dwindle in numbers over time. Think about it, every new generation, now, has all the worlds knowledge at their fingertips. There has never been a point in history where this must knowledge was so easily accessible.

As they grow up with the knowledge and understanding of the the world they live in, they won't necessarily need to look to a deity for the answers. Of course, that's not to say it will die out completely.

You do know that that church is based off of hate? I absolutely despise that church, the klu klux klan, etc.

But that doesn't deem religion entirely useless!

Your empty generalizations are stupid.

And sadly we've been dealing with that since the beginning of time. Conflict is in human nature and religion barely differs that much from clan rivalry or nation rivalry.
It's in human nature to conflict. And sorry if you don't know whats going on outside your comfortable little home, it's going on right now out there and it's not going to stop until this planet is destroyed. You have to wipe human beings off the maps in order to get your peace.
I think the human race is getting dumber and no where near to eliminating conflict, just like it started thousands/millions or  however you believe long ago.
Knowledge at our fingertips? HAH, look at the dumbasses that are churning out of American schools.

That's what I'm trying to say here.
I'm also not saying that it won't. Who knows what the state of the world will be like in a century or two?
