I am trying to reduce feedback in my audio recordings with audacity. Every time I make a recording it has this loud hum in the background. Anyone familiar with this? Does anyone know EXACTLY what I can do to fix this? I need help because I want to start recording for more animations. Thanks in advance.

Tried that already, none of the effects seem to do anything.

I have experience in recording and having that humming sound so, are you recording with a web cam? I don't know how Audacity works so please tell I might help.

Recording with a default computer mic on a laptop. Every time I plug in the microphone for my headset, it won't recognize it.

Try the noise removal effect. It works somewhat well for removing background noise/hum.

There's the problem, I had a hard time using my headset too.

Used that, still a BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR in the background.
