WINE
Aren't there some issues with some programs on Wine as well?
Anyway, I may test this out.

Yeah, but I used to be able to run mostly anything. I was playing GTA San Andreas and Toribash and stuff like that on it for months.
It runs more than it doesn't. Just dual boot and you will be able to switch to which Operating system you want.

I need drivers. Links?

I rarely have any, the only problem I ever got was while trying to run a crappy f2p Korean mmofps, so nothing of value was really lost.

I'm on 10.10.
Um, what's the difference?

I thought Unity was on 11?

Edit: If you're on that garbage interface with the bar on the side, just log out and select Gnome and change it to Gnome Classic (or something like that.)

About a year ago I tried 10.04 on my computer, and even though it took such a long time to install, and there were SO MANY UPDATES for things that needed to be installed, I really liked the layout and function of the OS. I would definitely use this again.

In fact, I keep a copy of the ISO on a disk at my desk as my "emergency OS switch" disk.  :cookieMonster:

For anyone wondering, Blockland runs flawlessly, if not better on Wine than it does for Windows.
1.3.26 is the version I've got now, and I'm also a super maintainer of the game on WineDB now.

Yes, the first thing I did when I got Ubuntu 11 was switch to Gnome.
Unity sucks.

I must be running it incorrectly then.
EDIT: I'm apparently running a severely outdated version of Wine. Whoops!

Try running it from terminal.

Like, go to the folder with Blockland in it through the terminal and type
Code: [Select]
wine Blockland.exeAnd if I recall, threre's a fix for Linux users for hosting servers.  Squideey made a article about it.

I didn't like Ubuntu when I tried it
it looked nice and all
but I like Windows more

If I ever had a extra netbook, or something like that, I would install Linux %110. <3
