Author Topic: Is Fallout: New Vegas playable?  (Read 1654 times)

I just bought Fallout New Vegas on steam and I'm wondering if it's even playable now, if all the bugs are fixed and whatever.

I probably should of asked this before I bought the game.

I'm guessing if it's in retail, most of the bugs, if not all of the bugs should be fixed, right?
Of course, Lego Star Wars 2 for the DS contradicts that, but whatever.

the elder scroll's lame gun modded cousin.

My friend bought it for the PS3, so it's definitely in retail.

I guess you should just try running it, give it a little time, and if you run into anything consult the Bethesdas.

I meant is all the bugs still there and is there still game break bugs?

If any of the major bugs aren't officially fixed I'm pretty sure there are user fixes by now. Been out a while.

What game breaking bugs are you talking about?

This :o
i completed the whole game almost 100% and i never crashed/got stuck anywhere?

Most of the bugs are already patched right now. However, there are some game breaking bugs still out there. I've only encountered 2 so far such as: Fast Traveling to Camp McCarren and one of the Freeside gate causes me to end up in an endless loading screen.

Other than that it's completely playable.

Yes, Fallout New Vegas is loving playable. What kind of godamn question is that? Are you loving handicapped? The game's been out for almost a year, as well as having multiple DLCs. I've played the game for over 200 hours and have not found a single game breaking bug. Plus you can mod the game to your liking. I don't know why people can possibly be confused if it is released as retail. Do you people live under a rock? Yeah, the game will crash if you go mod happy, but you have to realize this is a very complicated and open game with many, many different enemies, weapons, npcs, and routes.

Edit: Every game has bugs at one time or another. Get. The. forget. Over. It. It's godamn software, not a block of wood.

It has some serious issues, but overall you should be able to finish the game.

it's a legit question after fallout 3, anyhow

This is wrong method-
>Buy game
>I wonder if it works

This is right method-
>I wonder if it works (find out it does/doesnt)
>do/dont buy game
