Author Topic: My amnesia build.  (Read 4017 times)

what do you mean by this?

This needs A LOT of detail, a few open spaces, better add-ons, and some colortext for those notes.

I host around 4:00 or 8:00 brazil time. but i would like to know how to put the thingy that shows when your server is up. :/

If you guys weren't here during the time, Onivad's dad came around to help his son out. He's pretty young so some light taps would help out.

I think you need a map like slate. It'll lighten up the area a bit, but not too much so you can't see anything. Try to reserve blocks too so then playing through won't cause much lag. Also, the height of each room should be about 6 bricks (that's usually the minimum.) Amnesia has a cool atmosphere, as it is very detailed. Try to focus on detail, like the furniture, the walls, and everything in that criteria. Since the game takes place in a castle, everything should be aged and rustic.

If you don't know what colortext is, here's something that'll help.
In client, use <color:ffffff>
That makes all text white. Red is default. If you need more colors for "colortext" search up color hex generator.

There's no fans in Amnesia.

And believe it or not, Amnesia isn't completely pitch black.

This is completely terrible.

I can't imagine Amnesia in pitch black, nor can I imagine "Amnesia", the fantastic horror game popular due to the scenes and surprises, being placed in a bland build with nothing but basic bricks and zombies.

Does Amnesia even HAVE Zombies that just stand there, jumping at the door until you open it?

Something Nice to Say:  I hate the color.  Maybe change... the color.

Edit:  Wtf is that bunny thing in the second picture?

The "bunny thing is something that you could pick up, i remember that you could pick up some stuff and just hold it or do something with it, i was looking for dolls, or bones. But i did not find anything like i wanted, and i cant make add-ons. :/
and someone said my map was too bright when i used it on slate desert 3:dark. so i changed it, but your right. It was to black. And my map does not have any zombies, i made all the bots.

Here is pictures with desert 3: dark

i see some problems with your build , though you have some key items like bookshelfs and stuff , the game is made in a russian styled kingdom that should have some brick pattern and the castle isnt ENTIRELY dark there are some torches litten every few parts along the way , needs more detail , but that Amnesia attempt is very nice of an idea

thank you, as i said, i start everything basic, then when im done with the build i put more detail into things that look plain, and just bad.

that also reminds me , is that lanturn in the begging photos a modded light item or is it a built item you made by bricks :P?

Bricks, because when i downloaded my lamp add-on it did not appear :/ do you know how to make it appear? i really want to use it.

did you extract it to its file? , when you made a new folder with the name of that add-on that it is?

Amnesia's a good game, but this gives it a bad name.

No rhyme intended...
I think you should leave.

oh, you had to unzip it?
