So that you can't see the rest of the map. This was planned to be a long-lasting adventure, so I have alot built into it. Some of which might be spoilers if you see it from far away. :c

When you look to your left, you see a chest hidden in a wall.


You grab all the items and put them in your inventory.

Then you turn to face behind the portal, and you find a Crafting Bench.

All these things are going to be helpful to know on your journey. So now, fully equipped and slightly safer, you venture down the walkway. If you go left, you go upward, closer to darkness. If you go right, you go downward, closer to the lava.
